It was the sweeping views of the Mount Lofty Ranges that made Lorraine and David Pool fall in love with this Woodside acreage estate.

More than 20 years later, they still love the property at 92A Murdoch Hill Rd and everything it has to offer but are reluctantly selling it to downsize and move closer to family.

The couple built the four-bedroom federation-style homestead on the property to make the most of its landscape, with stunning views visible from every room in the house.

“There was only a large machinery shed and cattle yards when we bought the property,” Mrs Pool said.

“We actually had to build a road up to the house as well.

“The property is tucked away – it’s very quiet and peaceful but very close to the city too.” Designed with family living in mind, the home features a spacious formal dining and lounge area, and a central living room with combustion heating for cosy winters inside.

A kitchen overlooks the main living space, while an alfresco area ensures effortless entertaining year-round.

Four spacious bedrooms complete the home.

Outdoors, the property offers plenty of room to run livestock, featuring six main paddocks with electric fencing and concrete troughs.

There are also stock yards with a crush and loading ramp, extensive rainwater and bore tanks, and two dams.

Best offers for the home will be accepted until 10am on July 18.
