Brazil’s ‘Nobru’ to Launch His Own Free Fire Competition Circuit

Date:

Brazilian esports superstar Bruno “Nobru” Goes announced on Wednesday that he is adapting the “Nobru Cup” structure to launch his own Free Fire competitive circuit, the CPN. The initiative is supported by 3C Gaming, the same agency responsible for Nobru’s career management.

The CPN will rely on four Free Fire competitions throughout the year, divided into two divisions: Series A, with 24 invited organizations, including LOUD and Vivo Keyd-owned teams, and Series B allowing registration by community teams. Goes is one of the best mobile Free Fire players in the world. To avoid a conflict of interest with official Garena tournaments, the CPN will be a competition for the emulation scene of the game, which you can learn more about through this link.

CPN’s predecessor Nobru Cup was an event that the player organized twice over the last year, getting sponsorship from Coca-Cola in one of its editions. The CPN does not start with sponsors on board, but is open to talking with brands interested in the project.

The first split of the year on Series A will be played on Apr. 6-29, and Series B on May 5-9. All games will be held online and streamed through Nobru’s Twitch channel. A $50K BRL ($8.85K USD) prize pool is on the table.

Earlier this year, Goes also invested in his own esports organization, co-founding Fluxo with the also Free Fire superstar Lúcio “Cerol” Lima.

Editor’s Note: An earlier iteration of this story reported that Bad Bad Leroy was involved with the CPN. CPN said that BBL is now not involved. The story has been updated to reflect this.
