Buyout giant Blackstone has brought in Bain & Company partner Courtney della Cava as senior managing director and global head of talent and leadership for its portfolio operations group.
Della Cava will be responsible for building and enhancing executive leadership teams and boards for Blackstone’s more than 200 portfolio companies.
She previously spent more than 20 years at Bain & Company, advising corporate and private equity clients on CEO succession, CEO and board effectiveness and broader organizational talent strategies and solutions.
She also built and led several of the firm’s global human capital teams and capabilities.

Earlier this week Blackstone agreed to acquire ESG software provider and consultation firm Sphera for $1.4bn from Genstar using its flagship private equity vehicle.
Blackstone made seven senior hires this year to boost ESG efforts, including the hiring of engineering and construction industry veteran Alasdair Cathcart as senior advisor to Blackstone Energy Partners in May.
