Dr. Gavin Wood of Parity will give lecture at Berkeley as the co-founder of Polkadot and Ethereum after the partnership between the blockchain program at the university and Parity so let’s read more in our latest blockchain news.

The DLT protocol Parity Technologies partnered with Berkley’s Blockchain Xcelerator program in order to provide educational panels for students in the blockchain curriculum of the university. As a part of the collaboration, the co-founder of Polkadot Gavin Wood will be a guest lecturer in the Richard Newton Distinguished Innovator Lecture Series.

According to the document, Parity will give lecture by employing the substrate blockchain-building framework to work and educate the university in order to raise the “overall awareness of next-generation blockcahin technologies in order to promote adoption among students and the community at UC Berkley.”  Parity’s developer education team will collaborate with the students, the faculty, and the community that studies blockcahin technology and will also help with the curriculum preparation, resources, and project ideas.

Parity and the DLT-oriented program of the university called the Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator that will advise students and future entrepreneurs to educate them on developing and launching blockchain startups on Web 3.0 and Polkadot’s ecosystem. Jocelyn Weber who is an executive at the Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator said that working with Polkadot and Parity ecosystem startups shows the strong potential of this technology in educating the community:

 “We strive to expose our students to the tools and skills they will need to enter this space and immediately start making significant contributions – which is why improving their knowledge with tools such as Substrate and networks like Polkadot will be an important part of our curriculum development.”

The statement outlined that Woods as the co-founder of Ethereum, Parity, and Polkadot will give a lecture in the Richard Newton Distinguished Innovator Lecture this month. Wood said that blockchain innovation will continue expanding at a fast pace and it even advanced beyond legacy networks into the next generation as well as production-grade blockchains like Polkadot. This makes it critical for the coders, engineers, entrepreneurs to take on the growing competition and work on ground-breaking projects.
