Air India Express Makes Major Announcement Regard RT-PCR Tests

Air India Express, a low-cost carrier has announced that travellers who are completely vaccinated will not have to worry about taking an RT-PCR test on their departure to India from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

India has also scrapped the seven-day mandatory home quarantine guideline for passengers landing in India from abroad. This announcement is going to aid in the ease of travel process for the people and also boost the chances of travel sector reviving in the country.

But note that the vaccination of the passengers should have been done in India for them to be able to escape the mandator RT-PCR test. People who are vaccinated in the UAE will still have to get a negative RT-PCR test report on their travel journey to India.

“All other passengers should carry a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR certificate and upload the same on the Air Suvidha portal,” said Air India Express. “The test should have been conducted within 72 hours prior to schedule time of departure.”
