Subaru has named pricing for its 2021 Crosstrek SUV nameplate and introduced a new Sport trim that is available with a new 2.5L four-cylinder engine.

Subaru has named pricing for its 2021 Crosstrek SUV and introduced a new Sport trim that is available with a new 2.5L four-cylinder engine.

The 2021 Crosstrek is available in four trim levels, base, Premium, Sport, and Limited, and starts at $23,295 for the base trim, which is powered by a 2.0L engine featuring 152 hp and 145 lb.-ft. of torque, and is $24,645 when included with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Meanwhile, pricing for the Premium trim starts at $24,345 and is $25,695 with a CVT.

The Sport trim pricing starts at $27,545, and its 2.5L engine features an output of 182 hp and 176 lb.-ft. of torque. The new Sport trim also comes equipped with dual-function X-MODE with Hill Descent Control, with Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings to optimize AWD performance for difficult weather or road conditions. Paired with the Lineartronic CVT, the 2.5L achieves an EPA-estimated fuel economy mpg of 27 city/34 highway/29 combined.

All other Crosstrek trim levels equipped with CVT also feature standard X-MODE with. Models with CVT also feature Standard EyeSight Driver Assist Technology that include features Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering.

The new 2.5 four-cylinder BOXER engine is also available on the Limited trim, which starts at $29,045, but includes more standard features such as LED fog lights, an eight-inch touchscreen, and driver safety features including: reverse automatic braking, high-beam assist, and blind spot detection with lane-change assist.

All aforementioned pricing includes a mandatory $1,050 destination charge and will be available later in summer 2020.
