Wild Rift Patch Notes 2.2A

Riot Games has pushed a mini update to their mobile game LOL: Wild Rift. This Wild Rift patch 2.2A comes under the major patch 2.2 and the new contents will be downloaded directly in-game. Here are the changes that are introduced with this new patch.

NEW CHAMPION – RAMMUS, THE ARMORDILLO

League of Legends: Wild Rift is getting a new champion with this update. Regularly, more than two champions are introduced in the game with each update but in Wild Rift Patch 2.2A, only a single champion will be added to the game. This champion will be added on 22nd April in Wild Rift. The description of Rammus is given as follows:

“Idolized by many, dismissed by some, mystifying to all, the curious being Rammus is an enigma. Protected by a spiked shell, he inspires increasingly disparate theories on his origin wherever he goes—from demigod to sacred oracle, to a mere beast transformed by magic. Whatever the truth may be, Rammus keeps his own counsel and stops for no one as he roams the Shuriman desert.”

NEW SKINS

A new line of skins is being introduced in the game. The Stargazer skins are being added to Wild Rift and for now, only Camille, Soraka and Twisted Fate are included in the list. The entire list of skins is given below:

NEW ACCESSORIES

Some new accessories are added and most of them match the Stargazer theme, which is the main focus of Wild Rift Patch 2.2A. The items added are as follows:

Recalls: To The Stars, Cosmic Transcendence
Baubles: Stargazer

STARGAZER EVENT

The Stargazer skin line is going to be an exclusive line of skins for Wild Rift and to celebrate such a special launch, Wild Rift is getting a new event called ‘Stargazer’. The details of this event are currently unknown and will be released very soon. This event will start on 15th April.

NEW FEATURE: 120FPS SUPPORT

Wild Rift is increasing the quality of gameplay by adding a new 120FPS support as a test feature for limited devices. Players who own eligible high-end devices can enjoy this new feature for a limited time. The 120fps option is added to the following high-end devices: OnePlus 9 & OnePlus 9 Pro; Google Pixel 5; ASUS ROG Phone 2; Razer Phone 2.

GAME SYSTEM CHANGES

TURRETS

The defensive stats of turrets have been buffed by a significant amount to avoid early stage grouping and ganks in the competitive gameplay. This change was implemented in the last patch but the stats are increased by a large amount yet again.

During the first 4 minutes (previously 3 minutes), Solo (Baron) Lane and Mid Lane outer turrets gain 90 bonus Armor and Magic Resist.
During the first 4 minutes (previously 3 minutes), all outer turrets gain additional defensive bonuses when multiple enemies are nearby:
2 champions in total: 10 Armor and Magic Resist
3 champions in total: 100 → 250 Armor and Magic Resist
4 champions in total: 200 → 300 Armor and Magic Resist
5 champions in total: 300 → 350 Armor and Magic Resist

FREE-TO-PLAY CHAMPION ROTATION

15th to 21st April: Braum, Evelynn, Fizz, Galio, Graves, Jax, Kai’Sa, Lulu, Singed, Varus
22nd to 28th April: Alistar, Aurelion Sol, Corki, Dr. Mundo, Fiora, Shyvana, Soraka, Xayah, Xin Zhao, Ziggs
