The Warzone Punisher Pumpkin bug has become one of the rare thorns in Infinity Ward’s side in recent days.

With the Oct. 22 launch of the Haunting in Verdansk event in Call of Duty: Warzone, the “Pumpkin Punisher” Legendary Assault Rifle Blueprint for the Grau 5.56 was made up for grabs as a limited-time challenge reward.

The Pumpkin Punisher, designed to be awarded to those who successfully collect all of the items found in the 16 area-designated Trick or Treat Supply Boxes, has unfortunately left many players empty-handed.

As recorded on Oct. 21 by Reddit user u/Lejonet_, the reward doesn’t seem to unlock as advertised for certain players despite collecting all 16 items, even after entering a new match and restarting the game.

According to other Warzone players’ comments in the Reddit thread, there has been a wide range of different experiences with the bug.

From making a second run at all 16 supply crates again reportedly doing the trick for some, to others claiming that the Pumpkin Punisher is simply unable to be equipped in the loadout screen, it appears the only consensus is that the bug still exists with no clear solution.

For those still looking to collect all 16 Trick or Treat Supply Boxes before the Haunting in Verdansk event ends on Nov. 3, feel free to check out our guide.
