Vuram, GoAir to hire more people this year amidst return of normalcy

IT company, Vuram, is gearing to take on 400 new hires in 2021, in line with the increasing demand for digitisation. Presently, the Company has a 600-strong workforce.

GoAir, the airline, on the other hand, is planning to add new routes ahead of an initial public offering (IPO), which is estimated at about Rs 4,000 crore. The Airline, is also planning to expand its management team and is looking for senior executives in finance, sales and network management. Presently, it is operating only 37 out of its fleet of 53, as the aviation sector across the world is struggling to get back on its feet after taking a beating during the pandemic.

The Airline, owned by the Wadia group, is already in talks with law firms and merchant bankers for the sale of its shares.

At Vuram, hiring is already underway for roles from entry level to higher ranks, in India, Mexico and the US. According to Venkatesh Ramarathinam, CEO, Vuram, the India operations is looking for talent in sales, operations, marketing, software development, quality engineering, server support, and emerging technologies. The company will hire people for sales, marketing, server support, software development, quality engineering, emerging technologies, and operations in India.

In 2020, the Company shifted to the digital hiring mode, even when it came to campus hiring. It is open to hiring passionate candidates with new ideas, who will be able to actively contribute to its growth rate.
