Are you ready to dominate the court and throwdown like legendary street ballers Bobbito Garcia AKA Kool Bob Love or WNBA All-Star Renee Montgomery? Blacktop Hoops from Vinci Games is an upcoming VR street basketball game that lets you compete against other players in fast-paced multiplayer matchups that will leave you sweating and whooping out loud.

This arcade-style sports game lets you to perform a variety of impressive techniques you’d expect to see on your local streetball court. You can shoot three-pointers, outperform your competition with some fancy footwork, and, of course, lay down backboard-shaking slam dunks.

Blacktop Hoops was heavily inspired by the 90’s streetball scene. Everything from the environments to the basketball courts to the avatars themselves was designed to replicate the golden age of classic streetball. Vinci Games also made sure to include a killer soundtrack made up of some of the most prominent rappers from that era, including the music of Bobbito Garcia. 

In order to bring Blacktop Hoops to life, Vinci Games has launched a campaign on Kickstarter that offers a number of awesome backer tiers. Those who pledge $25 will receive the final game as well as a digital poster and be granted the role of Supporter on the official Discord.

Other tiers include Squad ($45), Believer ($50), and Hooper ($100) just to name a few. That said, you can always go the distance and pledge $9,999 for The One The Only tier, which gets you a variety of goodies as well as your own playable character in the game.

Through this campaign, Vinci Games will be able to expand Blacktop Hoops with even more features, such as a trading system and a customizable in-game platform. Of course, all of the backers will receive a copy of Blacktop Hoops when it’s released.

• 1vs1 single-player mode with open Online Park multiplayer.
• Four different game modes (Play Mode, Practice Mode, Shooting Training, and Tutorial).
• Play against one AI opponent with dynamic-responsive mocap animations across four difficulties.
• Over 1,500 lines of unique narration from emcees Bobbita Garcia and Renee Montgomery.
• Over 30+ digital collectibles and a level progression system up to level 75.
