Outgoing Meta Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg is visiting the Triangle.
Sandberg participated in Thursday’s North Carolina Chamber event in Durham.
Discussion centered around the state’s small-business community, workplace diversity and shifts caused by the pandemic.
The news comes after Meta, Facebook’s parent company, announced it was coming to Durham. WRAL News is trying to figure out which part of Durham will be home to the planned Meta offices and how many people the company expects to employ.
On Friday, Sandberg is also planning to visit the Triangle.
Sandberg is leaving Meta in the fall and will continue to serve on the company’s board.
