Valve’s Aware Of Exploit Which Exposes Your CSGO Skins To Hackers, But Does Nothing

Date:

It is a quite strange observational fact how Valve treats CS: GO. They just do not care much as it appears once again. From problems in the game to cheaters and now hackers who could cause you financial damage, there’s no end to the misery.

The biggest problem of all is Valve’s awareness. Valve literally knows about all of it and does nothing to fix or even acknowledge or caution the gamers who spend millions every year to trade CSGO skins. The non-profit group The Secret Club, has made shocking claims on Twitter by releasing multiple instances to show the exploit in work.

The group claims to have reported the exploit to Valve over 2 years ago but hasn’t heard back from Valve let alone fixing it. The glitch allows hackers to maliciously inject players in the game with a code execution flaw which can end up the victim exposing all their skins, account details, password, and even sensitive data on their local hard drives.

The good thing about this exploit is that it has been discovered long ago. The bad thing about this exploit is that it still exists, even after pointing out to Valve a couple of times as alleged by The Secret Group.

The exploits do exist but are bereaved of acknowledgement by the creators of CS:GO. The exploit which can be triggered by simply sending a game invite deserve more attention that it is currently getting.

If you’re concerned about your hard-earned money and the investments of skins in-game, you better should stay away from the game till the time the exploit is addressed (if at all).
