Riot Games is celebrating Valorant’s one-year anniversary with a free Year One (YR1) Event Pass. The pass includes free cosmetics and in-game rewards, and it arrives June 22 in Episode 3 Act 1.
“We can’t believe it’s been one year since Valorant launched, and we’re so grateful that players have joined us on this journey so far,” said art lead Sean Marino in a press release.
The pass includes the following:
Senior producer Preeti Khanolkar said the team was inspired by how much players loved the exclusive closed beta content, and wanted to make something similarly commemorative for them to enjoy.
“We thought it would be fun to feature Jett doing something low-key, so we designed the Year One Card as if Jett were baking a cake in her kitchen and also made one of the slices of cake into a gun buddy!”
The Year One Event Pass arrives in addition to the new Battle Pass. Khanolkar said the Radianite Points were included because the final free tier in the Episode 3 Act 1 Battlepass is the Jigsaw Ghost, which has a different Agent for each variant, and Riot wanted played to have the option to choose their favorite Agent among Yoru, Sykye, Astra and Killjoy.
On top of the Event Pass and Battle Pass, Riot Games plans to release the charity-focused Give Back Skin Bundle and new Agent KAY/O.
