A luxury home in a hidden gem suburb in one of Sydney’s fastest-growing markets has sparked a buyer frenzy, with hundreds flocking to the first open inspection.
The opulent residence at 85 Terry Street in Blakehurst featured five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and occupies a generously sized 811sqm block.

But that’s just the beginning, with the brand-new property described as an “architectural masterpiece” – the vision of the unnamed vendor, who is a Sydney designer.
Iman Sayed, a partner at Ausrealty in South Hurstville, is in awe of the owner’s work.
“I think they have an imagination, creativity and quality of work that we’ve never seen before in the St George area,” Mr Sayed said.
Features include stunning black and white marble throughout, including a curved marble staircase that is a work of art in itself.
The oversized master suite features a walk-in robe, ensuite with free-standing bath, and a private covered balcony.
There are a number of formal and informal living spaces throughout, as well as a large alfresco entertaining space overlooks the 12m pool, vast lawn, and natural rock water feature.
Mr Sayed said the sale had sparked a significant level of interest, with tens of thousands of hits on the realestate.com.au listing and large crowds flocking to inspect.
Usually, a good open day would attract 40 to 50 people, while this home received 320 visitors in a single viewing, he said.
Sydney’s southern region has performed particularly well in the past few years, but Blakehurst is still flying under the radar and has a lot of untapped value, Mr Sayed said.
“I believe Blakehurst is still very undervalued,” he said.
“Where else can you find a suburb where you are that close to the beach, to public transport, to the city, plus shopping centres, the M5 and the airport?”
Interest so far has come from all kinds of demographics, from families to younger professionals, so he isn’t sure who the lucky buyer will be.
But the level of enquiry coupled with the home’s significance could see it achieve a record price for the area.
