The Ukrainian government is preparing the country for the expected dominance of cryptocurrencies in the future by creating a roadmap intended for mass crypto adoption.
While other nations are increasing their efforts in halting the rise of cryptocurrencies, Ukraine has always been supportive of the cryptos’ growth in the country.
The cryptocurrency adoption roadmap was presented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, relevant government institutions, including representatives from the private sector.
Crypto revolution-ready
According to the plan, a nationwide crypto adoption requires initiating regulatory, educational, and infrastructural activities to better equip the country for the massive influence of cryptocurrency.
The plan also aims to establish legal terminologies and the creation of laws that would better regulate crypto-related transactions and operations in Ukraine.
To make all these things possible, comprehensive legislation is needed to provide all the planned crypto initiatives a strong foundation to stand on. That’s why last December, a draft law was presented at the Ukrainian parliament which has gone through several revisions since then.
Final version
The authors of the crypto draft law hope that at the end of the year, the parliament would finally agree on a final version.
Along with the specific policies on mass crypto adoption, legislators would also have to deal with crypto taxation policies and the integration of existing anti-money laundering rules.
The crypto roadmap also includes the introduction of real asset tokenization and a crypto-fiat gateway that would further complete Ukraine’s bold vision of a comprehensive crypto ecosystem.
These initiatives are also part of Ukraine’s goal of being one of the top nations in the world with the highest level of crypto integration.
