There’s more than meets the eye at this Riverland property, where two Transformer statues have propelled it into one of the most popular homes on the market in Australia right now.
A giant Optimus Prime and Bumblebee stand guard to the property at 6 Panorama Court, Paringa and are included in the sale — should the buyer want them.

“They are pretty cool,’’ says vendor Leanne Le.
“People know this as the Transformer house. We get people walking down the driveway sometimes, just to have a look.
“I’m not sure if whoever purchases the house will be as keen collectors as we are – we are just like big kids.
“But if they want (to keep the Transformers) then they can have them, otherwise we will bring them to our new place. We are big fans of the movie.’’
Mrs Le and her husband Peter, who built the property five years ago, originally bought the statues for the home theatre but found they didn’t fit.
Instead, a life-size Iron Man – which can also be included in the sale – takes pride of place in that room.
“We often have movie nights where each of our kids gets to pick a movie and we will watch all of them,’’ Mrs Le says.
“It’s been a great house for our family. It has everything – all the space outside, the games room, the theatre, the Transformers – we’re going to miss it.’’
Set over two levels, the home has six bedrooms, including two master suites with luxury ensuites and walk-in robes and four kingsize bedrooms.
There is also a gym and a home office.
The backyard is every child’s dream, with an in-ground pool with a water slide, an area for basketball and handball and a huge, grassed play space.
Agent Darrin Trandafil, from Ray White Renmark Waikerie, says reaction to the Transformers has been mixed. He says many potential buyers have lined up for a selfie with the superheroes but some, particularly women, have been put off the property.
Nevertheless, the action figures have garnered a significant following, with the home, which is on the market for $3.5 million, the most viewed property on realestate.com.au this month, Mr Trandafil says.
“We’ve beaten a $24 million waterfront (property) and $18 million Sydney Harbour properties – all I can say is that it’s due to the Transformers,’’ he says.
