We finally have some more clarity on how Call of Duty releases are going to work on PlayStation consoles over the next 2 years and it looks like it’s going nowhere. Warzone 2 was one of the surprises revealed in this news and has sparked a ton of interest from the player community. Now, it seems all is set to be revealed very soon.
The Pacific/Caldera map update has crushed the game for many different reasons and the player base has suffered and faith has been lost in the development team. Looking forward to the release of Warzone 2, let’s look at some of the big questions that will inevitably surround its release.

LATEST – Warzone 2 Reveal Incoming

It appears that the official Warzone 2 reveal will happen on Friday, 11 February at 09:00 EST / 14:00 GMT. The leaks come via @_Tom_Henderson_ who was privy to the information thanks to a content creator call yesterday.
The embargo time was not explicitly stated but has since been rumoured by multiple sources.

This really is a question that no one can have a solid answer to at the moment. We do, however, have a hint of what timeline we could be looking at. With the agreement for Call of Duty games on PS5 set to end in 2023, it’s safe to assume that Warzone 2 will be out by the end of next year. This was first confirmed by Jason Schreier ve Bloomberg.
Work on this will have begun long before the Caldera issues began but it’s unfortunate that this will likely be seen as cause for Warzone 2’s creation.
Will Warzone 2 be on PS5?

At the moment, we feel confident that Warzone 2 will launch on the PS5 as well as the Xbox Series X/S. We do believe that it will not have support for the older generation systems like the PS4 and Xbox One.

The idea is that Warzone 2 is the alternative to creating a full upgrade patch for the current game. Other games like Apex Legends and Fortnite have taken steps towards optimizing their games for the newer platforms but neither looks likely to go to the extremes that Activision is with Warzone 2.
Hopefully, the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles are much easier to get a hold of by the time the game comes out otherwise it might alienate players that feel like they’re being left behind. The chip shortage causing the issues is believed to continue through to the end of 2022 at least.
