The EA Sports PGA Tour Twitter account has revealed that the release of its upcoming golf title – EA Sports PGA Tour – has been delayed.
The next-gen game was initially announced in March 2021, with an arrival expected in ‘Spring 2022’. However, a change to the release date has now been communicated through the game’s Twitter page. It states:

“Hey golf fans, we wanted to let you know that we are shifting the launch date of EA Sports PGA Tour,”
“We’re excited to bring championship golf to you and will be providing more information on our launch plans in the coming months.”
Sadly, this is all pretty vague and with no reason provided or, crucially, a revised release date, either.

O ilk sürümü kicked off with: “EA announced EA SPORTS PGA TOUR, a new next-gen golf video game, currently in development".
That essentially confirms the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it would be very surprising for the title to not arrive on PS4 and Xbox One.
It remains to be seen whether the title will arrive on PC, Nintendo Switch and Stadia.

Four Majors set to feature

EA has announced that EA Sports PGA Tour for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will have the exclusive rights to the four Major Championships: the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, U.S. Open Championship, and The Open Championship.

This announcement includes the 2021 and 2022 PGA Championship, which will be held at Kiawah Island Golf Resort and Southern Hills Country Club respectively.
That’s part of a partnership with PGA of America to virtually recreate the PGA Championship, letting you can play to with the historic Wanamaker Trophy and take in Champion’s Ceremony, and play as and against past PGA Champions.
