Birinci Hafta Sonrası LCS Güç Sıralaması

Tarih:

With week two approaching us rapidly, let’s take a short look at the rankings after week one.

As with most of the bigger League of Legends tournaments, the LCS began last week. Kicking the year off with the Lock In championship; a kind of pre-season of the LCS Spring Split. After some outstanding performances and some surprising flukes, it is time to rank the best North-American teams!

10. Ölümsüzler

It’s a sad season start for Immortals and Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage fans around the world. The team didn’t win a single match of the first weekend of Lock In. They faced Counter Logic Gaming, Dignitas and Evil Geniuses; of which the latter two are considered stronger teams, but they are not the most dangerous squads in the region. Nothing seemed to work for Andrei “Xerxe” Dragomir and co. They lost hard even against CLG, couldn’t find their footing against EG, and lost from a fairly big lead against DIG.

9. Altın Muhafızlar

With the arrival of Eric “Licorice” Ritchie, Golden Guardians looked a lot stronger last summer compared to how they performed in this Spring Split. Sadly, the team couldn’t field its roster due to COVID-19 and visa issues. Leaving the Academy team played in their stead. The GG B-team fought valiantly, even taking the lead for a while against Cloud9. But ultimately they were no match for the best teams. We have to wait a bit more to see the new Guardians squad in action.

TSM

TSM ran into the same issue as the Golden Guardians; meaning they had to send their Academy team into battle because the pandemic made it impossible for the main team to get to the action. TSM Academy faced 100 Thieves, FlyQuest and Cloud9, and while they couldn’t make a dent in the former and the latter, they managed to beat FlyQuest; a team who did field their main roster, and lost to an Academy team. Which doesn’t paint a very good picture of their 2022.

7. CLG

But even though FlyQuest managed to lose the game against TSM Academy, Counter Logic Gaming got in their way in taking the seventh spot on our list. The completely overhauled roster of CLG won one of their three games on the first weekend, but they only beat dead-last Immortals while losing to Evil Geniuses and new superteam Team Liquid. Maybe the time for Christian “Palafox” Palafox and his teammates hadn’t come yet, but the question remains: will their time ever arrive?

6. Uçuş Görevi

FlyQuest is the first team on our list which would make playoffs if these were the standings at the end of the LCS Spring Split Regular Season. There is a very simple reason for that. Even though they lost to what is essentially TSM Academy and half of Cloud9’s Academy team — they also beat 100 Thieves; considered to be one of the top 3 teams of the League. On top of that, they got the mandatory point against Golden Guardians. Still losing to an Academy team is a fact which is a bit hard to forget.

5. Dignitas

Coming in at number five is Dignitas; the only team which played two matches instead of three in the first week of the 2022 season. Erinn “Blue” Gören and his teammates faced Immortals, but were behind in gold and experience for the majority of the match. Finally managing to turn the tides in the last few minutes after getting the first Baron Nashor. But when they faced a strong side in Team Liquid, they seemed completely outmatched. Losing in just 25 minutes, almost beating the record for the shortest battle in the first weekend.

4. 100 Hırsızlar

Even though we talked about the Thieves being a top 3 team in the LCS, after the first week, they didn’t make the cut. The reason is as simple as FlyQuest getting into playoffs — in fact, FlyQuest is the very reason. Felix “Abbedagge” Braun and co. lost to Palafox and his teammates, something which didn’t happen once last year. Even though the teams have stayed mostly the same, 100 Thieves couldn’t beat them. They had two fairly easy matched against GG and TSM’s Academy teams. Even so, 100 Thieves is strong, they just need to wake up a bit.

Takım Sıvı

Pro LoL oyuncusu Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, arkasında arka planda "Hoş Geldiniz" ve "Sıvı" yazan TL formasıyla kollarını kavuşturmuş duruyor.

Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg and the new superteam of North America looked extremely capable in terms of gameplay. But they still have a number of things they need to iron out before they can realise their full potential. While they beat Dignitas and CLG in a dominant fashion, and gained a lead against Evil Geniuses; in the end, they lost the third game. Maybe splitpush Sion isn’t as effective in proplay as it is in a Thebausffs stream.

2. Cloud9

Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami can play the midlane it seems. As Cloud9 managed to do a perfect weekend, winning al their opening matches. They didn’t face extremely hard opponents in Golden Guardians and TSM; or rather their Academy teams. And while their victory was almost ensured before the match started, they took longer than expected. However, they also beat Thieves-killers FlyQuest, and they did so convincingly. Even though Fudge cheated and played Jayce on mid, so it was not as different from his previous role.

1. Kötü Geniuses

Kacper “Inspired” Sloma joined the team in the offseason, which seemed to boost the team’s performance by a large margin. The Pole and his teammates were the only ones to take down the new star-studded Team Liquid; even after being down in gold for half an hour. EG looked great last year as well. And with the new players joining the roster, going to Worlds is not far from reality for the American squad.

Of course, next week is full of surprises. Be sure to follow the battle of the best of the best, and keep an eye out for ESTNN’s next LCS power rankings!
