BÜYÜK yendi Havu in a two-map series in which the German squad was always in the lead and in control of proceedings, taking their map pick, Mirage (16-5), before tallying their first victory on Train (16-11).
Dizi ile başladı BÜYÜK setting the pace on Mirage off the back of a four-kill round by Johannes “TabseN” Wodarz in the first pistol round, after which the Germans took a 5-0 lead before Havu could reply with a clean A defense. The Finns weren’t able to follow it up, however, and quickly fell behind in the first half, which ended 4-11. Havu secured the pistol round on the terrorist side, but were denied a second round by a BÜYÜK forcebuy after which the Germans team went on to close the map convincingly, 16-5.
The series moved on to Train, a classic BÜYÜK ban that the Germans played for the first time in their opening loss to Ekstra Tuz, where they took a 16-6 thrashing at the hands of the North American-South African squad.
Starting on the CT side, BÜYÜK were able to take hold on the map, running away early on much like they did on Mirage to take a grip on the half and reach double digits, 10-5, before switching sides. Havu won the second pistol round, but four Desert Eagle kills by ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş in the forcebuy once again put the Finns on the back foot. Down 6-13 Lasse "ZOREE" Üronen and company tried to mount a comeback with five consecutive rounds, but were finally taken out as BÜYÜK got the three rounds they needed to bring it home, 16-11.
Sıradaki BÜYÜK is the consolidation final, where they will play the loser of Ekstra Tuz vs Forze on Sunday afternoon for a berth in the grand final, where the winner of the aforementioned series will be waiting to fight over the $150,000 lion’s share of the prize pool.
