This Cisco Certificate covers most of the Service Provider Topics

Date:

Cisco has been providing many expert-level certifications for years. Over decades Service Provider related exam tracks are available by Cisco. One of the biggest advantages of Cisco certifications is they are very relevant to real-life ServiceProvider environments, and technologies that they use in their networks. They have Access, Aggregation, and Core Networks, also they have Datacenters Internet Gateways, maybe Mobile networks, and many other parts and services.

So, most of these operators have Network Automation software, programming languages, path computation, traffic engineering engines, and many other key technologies for the management, operation, and troubleshooting of their network efficiently.

There are many other evolving technologies today in the Service provider networks and for more information: CCIE Service Provider course will at least provide you with enough technical knowledge about the technologies, protocols, and architectures that you should learn, and study to catch up on real-life SP network needs.

Traditional Technologies for the Service Providers

There are many traditional technologies that Service Providers use in their networks.

They have many different networks, or usually, we call them PINs, Place in the Networks.

Internet Gateway Layer, Datacenters, Access, Pre-Aggregation, Aggregation and Core Networks, Transport Networks, Mobile Access, Aggregation, Core Networks, Cable Landing Stations, Central Offices, Intenet Exchange Points, and so on.

When we consider these different places, sometimes we have different technologies, and equipment we use in these places.

In the Cisco CCIE SP exam, for example, many of those traditional technologies are asked of the exam candidates.

Routing protocols, such as OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP, MPLS for MPLS VPN, RSVP-TE, RSVP-TE FRR, Multicast for IP and MPLS, QoS for IP and MPLS, Network Management protocols, Infrastructure Security mechanisms, some layer 2 fast-forwarding technologies such as ERP, REP, G.8032 and many other traditional technologies that Service Providers use in their networks are covered in the exam.

Evolving Technologies for the Service Providers and Network Automation

There are many new evolving technologies in the SP networks as of 2022. These technologies give an ability for SPs to come up with the new services, sometimes provide a cost-cutting advantage, and sometimes give ease of operation benefits.

For example, Network Automation tools give a lot of benefits to these networks. Ansible, NSO, and Python are very heavily used for WAN and DC networks anymore.

EVPN, Segment Routing, NFV, IoT, 5G  type of technologies are getting more popular and we are seeing new real-life deployments every now and then.

At orhanergun.net not just traditional technologies, but also Evolving technologies, both from design and practical perspectives are covered. And most importantly, you learn the real-life deployment tips and the tricks and be well prepared for the latest version of the CCIE Service Provider exam.
