TI11 is the biggest Dota 2 championship of the year and all the teams want to take part it in but only the best will get that chance. TI11 will be taking place from October 15, 2022, to October 30, 2022 but before that there’s The International 2022: Last Chance Qualifier, which will be taking place on October 8 and 9, 2022 at the SunTec Stadium in Singapore.

After the 12 best sides of the Dota Pro Circuit and six teams are picked from their regional qualifiers, there’s still a chance for two other teams to participate in this massive event in the last chance qualifiers. Twelve teams will be fighting for those final two spots. It’s a ‘mini mega’ event in its own right.

Xtreme Gaming and Virtus.Pro looking strong

The favorites to qualify, according to GG.Bet Esports – the official betting partner of the event, are Xtreme Gaming (+120 / 2.20) and Virtus.Pro (+200 / 3.00). Virtus.Pro missed a lot of the DPC this season, but they’ve shown this year what their best can look like when they made it to the top 3 of Tour 1. If it weren’t for some external circumstances involving their carry player, Pure, they would have also competed at the Arlington Major in Tour 2.

Xtreme Gaming have come out as a real force recently, with top 3 finishes in the first division of all their tours this season in China. They lost in the regional qualifiers to RNG, but their path to the finals of the regional qualifiers shows just how far they’ve come.

Team Liquid have lost some steam recently

Team Liquid are former winners of T1, but they have only got Dota 2 TI betting odds of (+300 / 4.00) because of how poor they have been recently. They were really poor in ESL One Stockholm Major, finishing rock bottom. Something similar followed at the Arlington Major, and it’s hard to see them rectifying all of that immediately.

They have a higher ceiling than most teams, but it’s been a while since they have played to their full capacity, and only their full capacity will get the better of the teams they are up against in the Last Chance Qualifiers.

T1 could spring a surprise

Team Secret (+260 / 3.60) are on the other contenders but were quite poor in the European regionals. T1 (+260 / 3.60) have got similar TI betting odds but had a disastrous tour 3, and had to make changes, and it’s these changes to the roster that has got everyone talking about them again. It may be a little too soon for it all to mesh perfectly but the signs are good.

Natus Vincere (+500 / 6.00) are former winners of TI but will have their work out after a difficult season in and out of the team. It’s not entirely their fault as the team hails from Ukraine and no one could’ve seen the situation escalate so badly in Eastern Europe.

T1, Xtreme Gaming and Virtus.Pro have got some momentum on their side and the other names covered don’t really. It looks like a three-horse race between these sides.
