The Emerald Cup will Sponsor 10 Small Legacy Farms to Compete in 2022 Emerald Cup Awards at Green Street Festival

Date:

Close to the heart of Emerald Cup (www.theemeraldcup.com) and its community is the Emerald Cup Small Farms Initiative, a program introduced at the recent Harvest Ball 2021 that provides resources and access to ten small craft legacy farmers who built the cannabis industry from the ground up. The Emerald Cup community has mobilized to support small craft farmers as many face the possibility of having to cease operations as a result of over taxation, licensing challenges, and market conditions.  As a continuation of this initiative, the globally recognized “Academy Awards of Cannabis,” has opened 10 sponsored entry spots for small farmers from heritage producing regions to participate in the 18th annual Emerald Cup Competition without cost. These entries are offered through the Small Farms Initiative and will be allocated to members of the community impacted by the craft cannabis crisis. Selected through a lottery from a pool of entrants which have been verified as beneficiaries of the initiative, the 10 farms will be sponsored to submit a single product to any category of the competition and will be given two tickets to attend the Emerald Cup Awards in Los Angeles.

The current cannabis pricing collapse compounded by overbearing regulations are hurting the very backbone of the cannabis industry, and The Emerald Cup founder Tim Blake has made this crisis a major focus of ECA programming for the coming year with the goal of supporting the community via the ECA platform. With their recent announcement of the Los Angeles arrival partnership with the inaugural Green Street Festival and full list of competition judges, eager attendees revel over the official confirmation of date and location for the Awards. The 2022 competition judges panel include a diverse cast of leading experts, journalists, scientists, activists, celebrities, and cannabis aficionados, leading the Emerald Cup into an exciting expedition in discovering outstanding cannabis products for the world.

It’s a great opportunity to showcase the best of our heritage producing regions to the Los Angeles cannabis community and to encourage SoCal consumers to treat themselves to the best cannabis available from Northern California.”
