After gathering up some decent success on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch, Cannibal Cuisine is now coming to Xbox and PlayStation, delivering up a totally unique, yet massively familiar, take on the party cooking scene.

Most definitely inspired by the success of the Overcooked! series of games – I mean, you just need to look at the trailer or screens to understand how this one has come about – Cannibal Cuisine is now getting set to arrive on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, the Microsoft Store for PC and both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 – and it’ll come with a free content update included.

Created by the indie team at Rocket Vulture (a team fascinated by the power of Overcooked!), Cannibal Cuisine is a 1-4 player, local and online party cartoon cooking game in which occasionally the odd bit of fighting breaks out.
It sees you taking charge of some culinary cannibals as they look to cook, punch, slap and push a ton of tourists towards the heat of the kitchen, creating meals out of what they have at their disposal. It’s all done in hope of being able to eventually defeat Hoochooboo, the evil god who sits in his volcanic lair.

Running both cooperative and versus modes, you’ll find yourself utilising voodoo powers, fire breathing and stomping your way to victory, all whilst testing your skills in some seriously unique locations – trap-filled temples, idyllic beaches and more. Throw in some special boss fights and it’s easy to see how Cannibal Cuisine will find a place.

What’s more, the version that is dropping onto Xbox and PlayStation come January 25th comes with the free The Curse of the Scarab King expansion too. That includes…

  • 5 levels and one Challenge level
  • Mummies!
  • Ancient Egyptian inspired visuals
  • New cosmetic items
  • Collect gems from scarabs to disable traps
  • Don’t dump your friends in the drink with switchable bridges

If you fancy yourself as a yummy mummy, then keep an eye out for Cannibal Cuisine as it launches on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (the Xbox Store page is here), PS4 and PS5 on January 25th 2022. You’ll find the game on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch too.

Our full review will be live around release as well.
