VALORANT already has some fantastic skins for its weapons, from simple color scheme changes to complete visual and audio makeovers of the gun’s design. Riot has even started to create crossovers between its various titles, and as always, it’s key to know which skin is best so you can look good on the battlefield, whether you’re top-fragging and carrying your team to victory or getting carried while you sheepishly bottom-frag.

Sentinels of Light skins
In Riot’s latest League of Legends event, Sentinels of Light, the VALORANT developers have created the game’s first crossover weapon skins with the Sentinels of Light collection. All of these weapons are reminiscent of the golden weapons of Sentinels set to fight off the Ruination in League‘s fictional world of Runeterra. The design, animations, and sound effects for these skins will have any player ready to fight for the light.
Sporting a beautiful gold and grayish colorway, the weapons glow with the arcane power of light. When fired, each gun lets out a flash of black and gold energy, and when reloaded, the barrels at the end of the weapon expand and spin in a flashy animation. The final kill animation is the cherry on top of this premium collection. When the final enemy is killed, they’re sent to their knees with their soul lifted out of their body into the light as they dissipate.
Glitchpop 2.0 skins
The second coming of Glitchpop came with a whole new set of weapons and many players were ecstatic to find out that they were featured on some of the most popular weapons in the game: the Vandal, Phantom, and Operator. Glitchpop 2.0 maintained the same flashy, cyberpunk-esque colorways with bright neon blues, purples, and pinks, and it also featured some great animations as you wielded the various guns.
The melee weapon changes color whenever you flick it out, which is great since many people swap to their melee from time to time throughout a match. There are also little holographic “stickers” that hover ever so slightly off the weapon, there’s a glitch effect whenever the gun is reloaded, and the sound effects match the robotic, futuristic feel of the skin line. The final kill animation is just as extravagant. When your enemy dies, they exploded in a flash of color and become transparent as advertisements project from their body.
Oni skins
The Oni collection is another great skin line with impressive animations, throwing a samurai theme onto weapons like the Phantom, Guardians, Bucky, and Shorty. The original colorway is clean with red and white, and each weapon glows a certain color to represent the energy being given from the demon mask that lies on top of the weapon.
When the gun is out of bullets, the glowing from the mask actually lowers in brightness to represent that the magazine is empty. The variant colorways are also elegant, ranging from a gold and black style to a white and blue form that’s similar to a ceramic tea set. What impressed many people the most, however, is the final kill animation, which features an enemy being stabbed by three katanas while an Oni mask is placed on their face. The animation ends with the opponent being chained down to the ground as a captured demon.
