Surf rock meets non mainstream pop pair The Astronots have gotten back with a remarkable new single. Entitled “Malibu (demo),” the track is the first from the band in north of two years and is delivered as a component of the cooperative NFT collection State College 333.

In “Malibu (demo),” the couple investigate the risks of a poisonous fellowship and when somebody understands that somebody they once called a companion is rather an adversary. With verses including, “sitting in the bay catching some waves (not your big break) / was on your team but you turned out to be / just another bad dream / oh, my friends can’t stand you / not many people do,” the storyteller recognizes that their companion is a terrible individual who is very unlikeable.

“Malibu (demo),” impacts The Astronots sun-doused sound with striking symbolism of Southern California ocean side culture, taking the audience to a vital setting. Sonically, the track captivates with fantastic nostalgic-plunged soundscapes loaded with affected guitars and driving basslines. Allee’s honey-plunged vocals skim easily across blustery 60’s motivated heartfelt rock’n’roll.

The Astronots are made out of multi-instrumentalists Allee Fütterer and Niko Giaimo. The team started delivering music in 2017 and from that point forward their deliveries have gotten arrangements on different TV shows and movies remembering CBS’s Life for Pieces and Andrew Garfield’s Under The Silver Lake.

“Malibu (demo),” is the band’s initial introduction to NFTs with the single being a highlighted track on the State College 333 collection.
