Round: Series B
Description: Lightning AI is the first operating system for AI. Build AI models and Lightning Apps (end to end ML systems). Founded by Luis Capelo and William Falcon in 2019, Lightning AI has now raised a total of $58.6M in total equity funding and is backed by Coatue, MANTIS Venture Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, Index Ventures, SV Angel.
Investors in the round: From the creators of the popular framework PyTorch Lightning, Lightning AI enables developers to do two key things: 1) build state-of-the art AI models for high-performance AI research, 2) build Lightning Apps which are end-to-end ML systems which are multi-cloud, fault tolerant and more.
