THCa diamonds are forever

According to Marilyn Monroe, “diamonds are a girl’s best friend“, but in the world of hemp and legal highs, THCa diamonds are everyone’s new favorite gem, offering recreational and medicinal users alike an option that may redefine their hemp experience..

In this article, we’ll delve into the dazzling world of THCa diamonds, exploring what they are, how they stack up against other concentrates, how to consume them, and where to find the best quality.

So, whether you’re a seasoned smoker or a curious newcomer, get ready to discover the ultimate luxury hemp-high experience with THCa diamonds – your new best friend in the cannabis world.

What are THCa diamonds?

Aptly named for their sparkling, crystalline formation, THCa diamonds (aka THCa crystals) are a type of extract made from high THCa cannabis or hemp plants. With a THCa potency that reaches up to 99%, they are the purest and most potent form of concentrate available.

THCa diamonds potency (how much THC can you expect)

THCa converts to THC at a rate of approximately 87.7%. So, if you manage to get your hands on a 99% pure concentrate (see our recommendations below), you can expect the product to contain approximately 87% Delta 9 THC after decarboxylation. So, yeah, they’re potent af 🤯

Why choose THCa diamonds?

One of the reasons why people choose THCa diamonds over other extract types is purely because they want to get super high (no judgment here).

Another reason you might want to give them a try is that by strategically adding them to your CBD flower, you can tailor and enhance your recreational or medicinal experience.

Many people find that THCa diamonds mixed with CBD flower offers them a smoother, more balanced, and manageable high, while others find greater symptom relief by adding a dose of diamonds to their usual CBD regime.

What about other THCa concentrates?

Although most other THCa concentrates contain a much lower amount of THCa in them, varying between 50% to 90% potency, they are still popular for several reasons.

If you look at THCa diamonds vs live resin, for example, live resin is particularly loved for its rich flavor, because when THCa live resin is extracted from the hemp, the plant’s natural aromatic terpene profile is extracted along with it.

THCa cannabis diamonds, on the other hand, are void of color and flavor because of the product’s purity. Putting flavor aside, hemp terpenes also add their own effects to the experience, as well as influence the effects of various cannabinoids, including THC and CBD, in what’s known as the entourage effect.

The entourage effect explains a synergy that exists between different chemical compounds in hemp and cannabis plants that can amplify their effects

But despite the benefits offered by other forms of THCa extract, high THCa diamonds continue to dominate this market due to their purity and ease of use.

Unlike Delta 9 THC, THCa isn’t a controlled substance. That means THCa diamonds are legal under federal law (according to the 2018 Farm Bill) as long as they’ve been extracted from hemp plants and contain no more than .3% Delta 9 THC.

More about the legality in your state here.

THCa diamonds effects

If you’re looking to experience the effects and benefits of THCa, or any other cannabinoid acids, then you’ll need to consume the product in its unheated state. In my opinion, there are more pleasant ways to take THCa (like capsules, tinctures, and even raw flower), but when push comes to shove, you could just put a small amount of the product in your mouth, smoothie, or food, to benefit from its therapeutic properties.

However, the most common methods of consuming THCa diamonds (see below) involve heating them (thereby converting the THCa into THC). This means that the psychoactive effects of THCa diamonds will essentially be the same as any other high THC cannabis product.

Just remember that because diamonds are the most potent out of all the THCa dabs available then, as long as you’ve bought your diamonds from a reliable vendor, you should expect the effects to be very strong against other THCa products you might have tried in the past.

Even a small THCa crystal will have stronger effects than smoking or vaping a whole bowl of THCa flower, which is why I wouldn’t usually recommend THCa diamonds to beginners.

The variable effects of THC

In all honesty, the effects of THC can vary wildly from one person to another and from one situation to another.

THC can make some people more animated and chatty while it leaves others unable to form a sentence (I tend to flip between the two but I’m definitely more prone to the latter).

The effects can also vary depending on how much you take (obviously) and how often you take it, as well as what mood you’re in and how comfortable you feel in your environment.

So, if this is your first time taking THC, you should expect to feel some (if not all) of the following effects:

  • High / intoxicated / confused – Please don’t drive
  • Euphoric / happy – Uncontrollably giggly if you’re lucky
  • Uplifted / optimistic – The universe is amazing
  • Withdrawn or self-reflective – Inner dialogue on steroids
  • Dizzy / overwhelmed – The dreaded whitey is a sure sign you’ve overdone it
  • Clear-headed / focused – Yeah not me, but some people
  • Short-term memory loss – Not a good time to revise for your exams
  • Lethargic / unmotivated – AKA couch-lock
  • Anxious / paranoid – For the unlucky ones

Some of the physical side-effects can also include red/dry eyes and a dry mouth, so have your eye drops and water at the ready.

Who has the best THCa diamonds for sale?

Diamonds are the hottest high THCa concentrates around, but who’s got the best? It’s fair to say that I’ve tried more than my fair share 😆 but I’ve whittled my favorites down to just three that offer the best THCa diamonds in terms of potency, taste, and blend (1:1 CBDa/THCa).

1. Arete Hemp – THCa Diamonds

Best for potency & purity
Arete THCa Diamonds

Choose Arete Hemp if: You want the purest, most potent THCa diamonds on the market

Arete Hemp delivers a wide range of potent cannabinoid and superfood products to people all over America. I’ve always been a big fan of their potent gummies, their flower is off the charts, their products are all third-party tested, and their prices are great too, so I find myself recommending this brand quite a lot.

Arete Hemp’s THCa diamonds weigh in at an incredible 99.96% THCa, making them the purest, most potent diamonds I’ve ever seen and tried.

Alongside his oh-so-sparkly (and potent af) THCa diamonds, Todd has a fantastic selection of full melt hash, hash/rosin blends, THCa flower, and pre-rolls so THCa lovers have tons of choice.

Because of the lack of taste, I don’t usually smoke or vape diamonds on their own, preferring to just add a crystal or two on top of a bowl of flower to increase the potency of what I’m smoking. They’re really easy to use and I love having them on hand as I can change the experience of literally any flower I have lying around within seconds.

THCa flower is actually quite low in other cannabinoids, so if you add these THCa diamonds to your CBD or CBG flower, you’ll enjoy a much richer cannabinoid profile from each hit. It alters the experience completely and boosts symptom relief too.

You can also use these diamonds to massively increase the strength of the THCa flower you’re smoking to get super (dooper) high.

Pros

  • Purest THCa diamonds on the market
  • Third party lab tested for potency and purity
  • Easy to use
  • Use them to enhance any hemp flower you have lying around

Cons

  • Not my favorite to dab (no taste)

2. Binoid CBD – THCa Live Rosin Diamond Dabs

Best for taste & price
Binoid THCa diamonds

Choose Binoid if: You want high potency dabs, but still want them to be tasty

They’re always the first brand on my radar to have all the latest cool stuff, including THCa diamonds. And, like the other products I’ve tried from their online store, their THCa Live Rosin Diamonds are fire 🔥

Diamonds in sauce like this aren’t as potent on paper as pure diamonds, but they are wayyyy tastier. The terpenes also go a long way to enhance the buzz and you can tailor your experience the same way you tailor your weed (by choosing indica, sativa, or hybrid terpenes).

Binoid’s diamond dabs come in two different sizes, with three terpene options for each.

The smaller of the two contains 1500 mg of THCa, while the larger option, which is definitely the way forward for those on a budget, contains 2500 mg of THCa.

Use our exclusive Binoid discount code “THCA25” at the checkout to receive 25% off all your THCa products, including their diamonds and vapes. Then, when you’ve spent all your money, get your credit card out and head over to Bloomzhemp.com. Use the same discount code there to receive a 25% discount on all of their premium THCa flower. Yessssss.

Pros

  • Very tasty dabbing experience
  • Superior (live rosin) terpenes used
  • Indica, sativa, and hybrid options available

Cons

  • Not as potent as pure THCa diamonds
  • Messier to use

3. Akira Botanicals – Sour Lifter THCa:CBDa Diamonds & Sauce

Best blend
Akira Botanicals THCa diamonds

Choose Akira if: You’re looking for a high quality THCa:CBDa blend

The products being produced by Akira Botanicals have a clean, boho-boutique vibe to them. And there’s literally so much to like about the way this farm-direct company operates, including their sustainable, living soil farming methods and small batch production.

Every product comes beautifully boxed (they would make great gifts) with its own unique batch date and QR code that sends you straight to a lab report, verifying that specific product’s potency and lack of residual solvents.

Akira’s Sour Lifter diamonds and sauce is made by mixing 99.9% THCa diamonds with Sour Lifter CBD Sugar Wax (at a 1:1 ratio) and the resulting extract contains 39% THCa and 36% CBDa. The 1:1 blend offers a smooth come-up and nicely-balanced high. If you want to get super high, this product isn’t for you, but medicinal users will love it.

Pros

  • Tailored blends of THCa and CBDa available
  • Farm-direct brand
  • Tasty dabbing experience
  • Third party lab tested for potency and residual solvents

Cons

  • Least potent (THCa-wise) diamonds on this list
  • Added sauce makes them messier to use

How to use THCa diamonds

As you can imagine, the potency of pure THCa diamonds makes them highly sought-after amongst users of THCa concentrates and they can be used in almost all of the same ways, including dabbing, smoking, and vaping.

How to dab THCa concentrates

Dabbing THCa diamonds is the same as dabbing any other concentrate. You heat your nail (aka banger) and when it reaches your desired temperature, you place a small amount of diamond concentrate into or onto the nail and breathe in the smoke that’s produced via the mouthpiece.

Dab rigs can be manual or electronic. A basic DIY dab rig involves heating the nail with a blow torch, waiting for it to cool slightly, and then taking the dab when you think it’s at the right temperature. An electronic rig (or e-rig) will take the guesswork (and blow torch) out of the equation. E-rigs are also great for group and session dabbing as you can keep the temperature constant for as long as you want.

If you want to invest in a dab rag, then I recommend you head over to Smoke Cartel’s online store to browse their particularly awesome range of rigs to suit all budgets. Or, if you have a bong at home, then you could invest in a device like this G-Pen Hyer which will transform any bong into an e-rig.

How to smoke THCa concentrates

If you already own a bong or pipe then you can crush your high THCa diamonds into smaller pieces and sprinkle them on top of a bowl of smokable hemp flower before lighting it.

If you prefer the (some would say sacred) ritual offered by a joint, spliff, or blunt, then you can also add them in with your flower there (they have to be crushed more finely for this).

  1. When adding to a joint, just be careful of hot rocks or blim burns that might fall from it (because no matter how long I’ve spent “powderizing” my concentrates in the past, I’ve still managed to ruin more than a few of my favorite sweatshirts).

How to vape THCa concentrates

Finally, you can also vape THCa diamond concentrates. You simply put your diamonds into the chamber of the vaporizer (or into a dosing capsule first, depending on the model), set your vaporizer to the correct temperature, wait for it to heat up, and then inhale the vapor from the mouthpiece.

Depending on where and when you’ll be consuming your highly potent crystalline THCa diamonds, you can invest in a desktop or portable vaporizer. If it’s your first vaporizer, my recommendation would be to go with a portable device that vaporizes both flower and concentrates.

Best temperature for dabbing (or vaping) THCa diamonds

Like THCa wax and live resin, THCa diamonds are most commonly used for dabbing and ideal temperatures vary depending on who you speak to.

Choose hot dabs for immediate, potent effects

If you like to take big rips that produce large vapor clouds then you’ll generally want to heat your dab rig or vaporizer to between 500 and 650 degrees Fahrenheit. I find that the best temp for THCa diamonds is smack bang in the middle of that (around 550 to 575F).

Choose low temp dabs for more gradual and flavorful effects

If you’re not used to smoking and/or dabbing, then you might find hot dabs a little too harsh, in which case you should start out with a lower temperature (350 to 400F) and work your way up to find your sweet spot.

Low temp dabbing is also a more flavorful way to dab, which wouldn’t usually apply to your (terpene-less) THCa diamonds, but will be relevant if you manage to get your hands on some tasty THCa diamonds in sauce.

What is diamond infused weed?

If you see diamond infused weed or hemp for sale, it’s basically describing a cannabis or hemp flower that’s been dusted with THCa diamonds. The weed diamonds are crushed down into a powder form and then the buds are rolled in it to increase their overall THCa (and eventually THC) content.

THCa diamonds are everyone’s best friend

As the cannabis industry continues to evolve and innovate, THCA diamonds are poised to shine bright as one of the most potent and revolutionary forms of cannabis concentrate available today.

These crystalline structures, sometimes containing over 99% pure THCa, hold promise not only for recreational users seeking an unparalleled high but also for medicinal patients who may benefit from the unique therapeutic properties they bring to the table.

Due to their extraordinary potency, THCA diamonds captivate both connoisseurs and newcomers alike, offering a clean, clear high that’s hard to match.

Stick to one of our top three vendors recommended here – Arete Hemp, Binoid CBD, or Akira Botanicals – to ensure you end up with the best THCa diamonds on the market. Each of these trusted vendors produce THCa products that really deliver on their promise of potency, quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.

As with any other form of cannabis consumption, it’s crucial to start slow and understand your tolerance level when experimenting with THCA diamonds.

Have fun!
