Sony reportedly unveiling Game-Pass-style PlayStation Plus overhaul “as early as next week”

Following months of rumours and reports, it's now claimed Sony will unveil its new Game-Pass-style PlayStation Plus subscription overhaul - codenamed Spartacus - "as early as next week".

That's according to Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, who first reported on Sony's Spartacus plans last December, claiming the new service would effectively combine the company's two current PlayStation subscription offerings - PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now - into a single package split across three different subscription tiers.

Shadow Warrior 3 heads up PlayStation Now games for March

Sony has revealed the latest games to be added to its subscription service PlayStation Now, and they include the highly anticipated and gaudy Shadow Warrior 3.

Users will be able to choose from four news games to sink their teeth into from today. Along with Shadow Warrior 3, PS Now subscribers will also be able to enjoy Crysis Remastered, Relicta and Chicken Police - Paint It Red.

PS Now Subscribers Score Four New PS4 Games in March 2022

And one of them is a brand new, previously unreleased title.

PS Now is looking like it will almost certainly be phased out in favour of a rebooted PS Plus subscription, but Sony’s going through the motions for existing members. And this month’s PS Now lineup is actually unprecedented: members are getting a brand new, previously unreleased title in the form of Shadow Warrior 3. That’ll be available to download and play through 4th July, 2022.

It’s joined by a trio of other titles: Crysis Remastered, Relicta, and Chicken Police: Paint It Red. We’re going to be brutally honest with you, readers: we’ve never heard of the latter so can’t add any additional insight beyond the blurb provided on the PS Blog. Relicta appears to be some kind of Portal-esque first-person puzzle game, while Chicken Police is a noir-inspired adventure experience.
