Sony’s next-gen VR headset has finally arrived – here’s what you need to know. After long last, the PlayStation VR2 has officially launched alongside...
Bethesda released their first PlayStation 5 console exclusive title with Deathloop in September 2021, and their next PS5 console exclusive hits shelves this week on 25th MArch with Ghostwire Tokyo. The game is from acclaimed Japanese studio Tango Gameworks, who were responsible for the two excellent Evil Within horror games. Ghostwire Tokyo isn't an outright horror title, but looks equally unique and strange.
Ghostwire Tokyo has horror and supernatural elements to its story and gameplay, but it's mostly an action adventure title. The story has you find a deserted Tokyo where the only living beings are ghost-like creatures known as 'visitors'. Using a combination of physical and magical abilities, it's your job to find out what happened while fighting these enemies.
Struggling to find PS5 stock but hoping to snag a free copy of GTA Online and take advantage of the introductory offer for GTA 5? Sorry, you can’t. As has been pointed out by a number of readers, you’ll need to physically own a PlayStation 5 console to download your free copy of GTA Online and purchase the single player campaign for the introductory offer of £8.75/$9.99.
You can’t find the client on the web-based PS Store or the PlayStation App, making these offers exclusive to owners of the new-gen console itself. We imagine this was the deal that Sony struck with Rockstar all along, but it’s not a great look considering how scarce stock of the system is. Xbox owners can buy the new-gen GTA 5 outside of the Xbox Series X|S ecosystem, but it’s worth stressing they’re not getting quite the same deal.
Here's how to pre-load the new-gen version of GTA 5 on PS5 and Xbox Series X right now, alongside news on the release date, pricing, and save transfers.
Just like it did with Deathloop, Bethesda is once again offering a 10 per cent discount on its final PlayStation 5 console exclusive if you happen to have a PS Plus subscription. Pre-orders for Ghostwire: Tokyo went live overnight on the PS Store, revealing a lower price if you're a member of Sony's service. Instead of full price, you'll pay £53.99/$53.99. The offer is available up until the game's release date, which is 25th March 2022.
If you opt for the standard version, you'll get the base PS5 game along with some pre-order bonuses. Those are a Biker Outfit and the Hannya Outfit. If you cough up more cash for the Deluxe Edition (£71.99/$71.99 with PS Plus), then you'll get the aforementioned items along with three days of early access, the Streetwear Outfit Pack, a Shinobi Outfit, and the Kunai Weapon. You can bump up the release date to 22nd March 2022 if you pre-order the Deluxe Edition, effectively.
Sony stealth scheduled a Ghostwire: Tokyo showcase for this evening, and the presentation has now concluded with a good amount of gameplay and interviews with the leads at Tango Gameworks. You can catch a complete repeat of the video above, with the PlayStation 5 console exclusive confirmed for release on 25th March 2022. If you pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition, you'll get to play three days earlier.
The show begins with lots of gameplay capture, sharing what combat looks like before diving into traversal and some of the more supernatural elements. For the second half, the likes of Shinji Mikami are interviewed. We will have more Ghostwire: Tokyo coverage to share with you tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that.
