It’s been some four years since Systemic Reaction launched Generation Zero onto the world – and with the latest Dev Diary for the game, they spend time charting the success that has been found.
Having launched on Xbox, PlayStation and PC back in early 2019, Generation Zero whisks players off to 1980’s Sweden, as they discover a world that has been overrun by mechanical beings. It’s these machines which are looking to take over the world – and it’s up to you to push them back.
Since launch, it’s a game that has evolved massively, built out with multiple DLC packs, ideas and more. But however you may have tackled the world, you’ll have found it to be one that has excelled with the most tense of battles.
Generation Zero is a game we reviewed way back when, and even then we could only slap a 2.5/5 review score on it at the time, most of that was down to some bugs and glitches which ruined the experience. We’re pretty sure they would have been fixed by now.
When you consider that some twenty-five major updates have hit the game since launch, whilst two massive story expansions have also dropped in, there’s probably never been a better time than to check out what Generation Zero can offer – especially since Systemic Reaction are looking to continue throwing out content updates throughout 2023 and beyond.
