Star Guardian capsules are one part of the newest Star Guardian event in League of Legends. Capsules themselves are not new to League of Legends, but these are new to the shop and can be purchased in bundles.

One Star Guardian capsule costs 750 RP. The 10 Star Guardian capsule bundle costs 7,500 RP.
The capsule still acts the same as a normal capsule in that you get three shards. These shards usually give you discounts on champions. However, these new capsules give three champion skin shards. Purchasing these Star Guardian capsules also earns players Prestige Points. Prestige Points can be use to buy prestige skins, such as the new Prestige Star Guardian Soraka Skin. These Star Guardian capsules themselves cannot drop the new Soraka skin. However, they still can drop plenty of rare skin shards.
If you plan on purchasing Star Guardian capsules, the 10-capsule bundle gets the most bang for its buck. Not only do you get 30 champion shards, but the capsule bundle also contains an Interstellar Bag. The Interstellar bag works similarly to champion shards. However, this bag includes eight different champion skin shards. On top of that, you’ll earn more prestige points that you can chose to spend however you like.
