Founded in January 2021 by esports superstars Bruno ‘Nobru’ Goes and Lucio ‘Cerol’ Lima, Fluxo first gained notoriety in mobile title Free Fire, a game where its founders found fame as players and streamers.

Sponsors of its Free Fire roster include the likes of bank Next, retail giant Casas Bahia and TNT energy drink.

When the CBLOL franchising model was established in 2021, Rensga Esports paid Riot Games R$4m (~£643,000). It’s not confirmed how much Fluxo paid for the spot, but the amount is speculated to be above that figure.

Rensga looks to be leaving the franchise after two years. Esports Insider has learned that the organisation is undergoing a management reform and will dedicate itself primarily to content creation.

Parallel to that, another CBLOL team that might leave the league this year is Miners. Sources told Esports Insider that the organisation is involved in negotiations to also sell its spot. Some of the negotiations are said to be advanced, but interested buyers were not disclosed.
