MultiTech, a leading global supplier of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and services, announced today that MultiTech DeviceHQ® a cloud-based tool set for managing the latest generation of MultiTech devices and MultiTech LENS®, a LoRaWAN® optimized embedded network server and key management toolset, have secured SOC 2 Type 1 compliance, a rigorous compliance standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
SOC 2 (System Organizational Control) is designed to specify how organizations should manage customer data. Through the process an organization’s internal controls for privacy and information security are examined, assessing compliance at a specific point in time.
