Retired Roo Shaun Atley is leaping into a new life in Sweden and selling his Moonee Ponds home.
The 214-gamer, who finished up his AFL career at the end of the 2021 season, has listed the three-bedroom house at 6C Huntly St with $1.35m-$1.45m price hopes.
Alexkarbon director Charles Bongiovanni said Atley and his fiancee bought the property and renovated it after renting it for a few years.

“His fiancee is Swedish and, now he’s out of the game after finishing last year, they’re going to move to Sweden for a few years and spend some time with her family, which they haven’t been able to do because of Covid,” Mr Bongiovanni said.
“There’s a half basketball court out the back, which he put in, and a few of the players used to come around and get a bit competitive back there.”
CoreLogic records show the property last sold for $900,000 in 2016, a few years after the defender nabbed just over $500,000 for the two-bedroom townhouse at 14/162 Stockmans Way, Kensington, he bought with his parents in 2013 as an investment and family base.
Mr Bongiovanni said the Huntly St abode was appealing to downsizers and those looking to break into the market in the handy spot close to Puckle St and the Maribyrnong River.
The stylish and contemporary open-plan pad is scheduled for auction on April 2 at 12.30pm
