The only way to get into Scavengers is with a Twitch Drop that holds a Steam Key for its Early Access.

Scavengers officially went live on Wednesday, April 28, to a select few players. This free-to-play team-based battle royale features both PvE and PvP elements where players can choose from an assortment of unique “Explorers” and roam the frozen wasteland. Unfortunately, they can’t do any of that without a Steam Key.

Three guesses where those come from.

Currently, the only way to get a Steam Key is via Twitch Drops. There’s a bit more complexity to that, however, which we’ve broken down to its simplest form.

First, you’re going to need an account with the publisher, Improbable Worlds Limited. They have a page set up exclusively for this. After that, all you need to do is link your Twitch and Improbable accounts to actually start receiving the drops.

This is so the publisher knows you want a key and they can tell you’re investing your time to get one.

After that, just pop into any Scavengers’ stream and hang out. Maybe chat with some other new players, form early alliances—you know, make the most of your waiting time. Most of the users in the stream are likely waiting for the same thing you are.

Or, just have it as comforting noise in the background while you do something else. We won’t judge.

It takes around half an hour to get a drop, which will be allocated to the e-mail associated with the account. All it takes is a quick input into Steam and voilà! You’ve got yourself your very own Early Access copy of Scavengers.
