Analytics provider Santiment released the top ten list of all the ETH-based projects by developer activity and despite the record highs for network charges back in February, the development on some of the industry’s leading ETH-based projects continued unabated so let’s read more in our latest Ethereum news.
The research stated that the development activity is an indicator of how successful a project is. It shows the ongoing commitment to creating a working product and to polish and upgrade its features while staying true to the long-term roadmap. The research focused on pure ERC-20 projects which are committed to developing on Ethereum and used 30-day Github activity to track the development status and action.

At the top of the list for developer activity in February is the prediction market Gnosis, despite the recent 28% drop in GNO token prices for the second half of the month. it seems that the team was quite busy working on the product. Gnosis launched on xDai ETH Sidechain and joined the Open DeFi alliance, launching a new collaborative grant initiative for Gnosis Safe Apps last month. Status was the second most developed ETH project with plenty of updates for the open-source mobile dApp browser and the SNT prices also hit a three-year high of $0.125 a month ago.
Decentraland was coming in third on the list of developer activity with a number of features that were implemented to improve user experience. Next up we have UMA after it got major protocol out the door and collaboration with BadgerDAO. Coming in at number five was Chainlink after it announced its official mainnet launch of Off-chain Reporting which improves the efficiency of how data is computed across the Chainlink oracles thus cutting down on the costs by 90%:
“The most immediate benefit to DeFi and its users will be a 10x increase in the amount of real-world data that can be made available to smart contract applications.”
As Santiment released the top ten list of ETH-based projects, we can see that they were dominated by Defi. Among the top ten were Skale Network, MakerDAO, and Ocean Protocol.
