Reimagining IoT Deployments with CircuitPython

Date:

Adafruit’s CircuitPython is a programming language designed to simplify experimenting and learning to code on low-cost microcontroller boards. It has helped open up the IoT and place it within reach of developers of all types. Like its “parent” MicroPython (which CircuitPython is based on), being able to use the uber-popular Python language to program “things” and connect them to the world has led to significant advancements in the reach and scope of IoT solutions.

Likewise, by teaming up CircuitPython with the appropriate hardware and services, we can discover new and useful means of deploying and maintaining our IoT solutions. Take for example cellular IoT. By utilizing prepaid cellular with an easy-to-use cellular SoM (the Blues Wireless Notecard) we can now remotely update CircuitPython firmware even after it’s been deployed.

More and more developers are realizing the advantages of using this programming language in their IoT deployments. These advantages include:

  • Quick and easy to use
  • Beginner friendly
  • Easy code updates
  • Serial Console + REPL
  • File storage
  • Strong hardware support

We want you to learn about it too! Join us on Friday, August 19th at 11AM EDT/5PM CEST as we look at:

  1. Getting Started with CircuitPython and Wireless IoT
  2. Walking Through a Real World CircuitPython-based IoT Project
  3. Remotely Updating CircuitPython Firmware with Cellular IoT(!?!)

Can’t make it? Register anyway and we’ll send you the recording!
