After its success last year, Razer just announced the 2021 iteration of its Razer Invitational, which focuses on Rainbow Six Siege, Brawl Stars, and Fortnite esports.
Choosing entertainment value over pure performance, the Razer Invitational’s main goal is to challenge the community. For 2021, it will focus solely on North America, with a strong emphasis on mobile gaming. This is Razer’s fourth event overall in a region where esports takes a huge space.

Razer Invitational 2021
Anyone from Canada, North America, and Mexico can signup for the event on April 20. Considering the lack of requirements to enter, there will be a huge quantity of contestants. On May 8, qualifier events take place to reduce that number to a more manageable count. Then, it is finally time for the main stage of the competition, with a $10 thousand prize pool for every game.
Of course, due to its online format, ping will be an issue. Although Razer stated that they have made preparations to provide a decent environment to play within.
Furthermore, the 2021 Razer Invitational made another risk in its choice of games. Three games made the cut so far, with two on the mobile side. Although Fortnite is available on desktop, part of the community can still perform with mobile devices. On the other side, Brawl Stars, as a mobile-exclusive title, still continues to garner more and more attention.
With more and more tournaments being played on mobile, this is another event that will add legitimacy to the mobile esports scene.
Worldwide Events
At its inception, Razer felt that there was a need for a new kind of esports stage. In it, players out of the professional and semi-professional circles will perform and get their first taste of a fully competitive environment. In the 2020 Razer Invitational, players from South East Asia, Latin America, and Europe participated.

Now, the 2021 Razer Invitational covers even more ground with North America, Mexico, and Canada. Through hosting more events, the Razer Invitational could increase its reputation and become one of the most awaited tournaments every year.
