Rainbow Six Extraction is Coming to Xbox and PC Game Pass on Day 0.
Rainbow Six Extraction is a co-op spin on the long-running Rainbow Six Siege but, instead of taking on teams of human antagonists, you’re fighting against all manner of gruesome aliens. If we’re honest, when we first heard the name we hoped it’d be about a squad of crack-commando dentists, but we’ll take alien-busting all the same.
Now, thanks to a deal between Microsoft and Ubisoft (which may or may not have involved money changing hands), if you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, you’ll be able to play it when it launches this January 20th. That includes PC Game Pass, so if you have either platform and subscribe to the appropriate service you can take Extraction for a spin without spending an extra penny.
But that’s not all – Ubisoft are also going to be bringing their Ubisoft+ service to the Xbox at some point in the future, giving Xbox players access to a library of 100 or so titles. They charge for the service on PC so it’s doubtful it come with standard Xbox Game Pass. Though it’s possible that, in the vein of EA Play, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get it as part of their package.
Rainbow Six Extraction is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia and Amazon Luna this January 20th. We’ll let you know when we hear more about Ubisoft+; let’s just hope Ubisoft leaves the NFTs at home.
