The rising Singaporean virtual influencer, Rae, is set to release her first collection of NFTs.

Rae is “made” from realistic computer-generated imagery and artificial intelligence to resemble the physical features and natural responses of a human being.

Her artificial intelligence features are certainly amazing and serve as a clear sign of more advanced AI capabilities in the future. But even with her rising popularity, her creator (or creators) remains a mystery.

Her first collection of NFTs will be minted on the Mintable platform, and her NFTs will start at the bidding price of US$392.

What the winning bidder will get

Aside from Rae’s NFTs, the winning bidder will also get an exclusive artificial intelligence-powered “Thank You” message from Rae and an MP4 version of her artwork.

“As a virtual being, I stay connected with my fans via social media, and tapping on blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies has enabled me to uncover a new nexus to forge a stronger connection with them,” Rae said.

Half a million followers

When Rae was introduced to the public, she quickly garnered 510,000 followers on Weibo and 6,900 fans on Instagram. She even partnered with some of the world’s biggest brands such as Audi and streetwear SBTG.

But even with her rising status, Rae was not the first virtual influencer introduced to the public. Last June, a virtual idol named “J-Yung” was introduced, a K-pop-inspired virtual personality who was also created as a symbol of support for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

J-Yung was made possible through the collaboration of Daz 3D, an American 3D digital art company, and The Digitals, an all-digital modeling agency.
