PUBG Mobile Esports has banned the Brazilian pro player ‘Goodzin’ for using racist terms while referring to another player in an interview. Goodzin represents INTZ Esports in PMPL: Brazil and has received a ban of one year from competitive PUBG Mobile for this act.

INTZ Goodzin used inappropriate terms condemned as racist in an interview. The interview took place after the matches of PMPL: Brazil on 4th April. This act was instantly addressed by the esports team of PUBG Mobile and the player was suspended for one year. Article 6.3.3 of PMPL Brazil Regulation was referred to take this action and it states the following:

“Team Members may not offend the dignity or integrity of a country, private person or group of people through contemptuous, discriminatory or denigrating words or actions on account of race, skin color, ethnic, national or social origin, gender, language, religion, political opinion or any other opinion, financial status, birth or any other status, sexual orientation or any other reason.”

Goodzin will be barred from playing in any official PUBG Mobile tournaments for a year as the punishment is effective immediately, the player won’t be able to participate in any further matches of PMPL: Brazil.

Such stringent actions were taken for players of Loops Esports last time for flaunting the competitive rules and staging an in-game mini protest. The team was unable to play in PMGC but this time, INTZ can play the matches with a tweaked roster.
