English Premier League team Manchester City is working with Socios.com to launch the Manchester City $CITY Fan Token, according to a note from Chilliz – the parent company of Socios.
The company says that Manchester City fans across the world will be able to use $CITY Fan Tokens to access perks such as VIP rewards, Club promotions, games, AR-enabled features, and voting rights in certain binding and non-binding Club polls on Socios.com.
All registered “Cityzens” will be eligible to receive a free $CITY Fan Token. The token is said to be available to purchase via the Socios.com app.

Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Chiliz and Socios.com, said that Socios.com and $CITY Fan Tokens will be hugely complementary to City’s global approach.
Chilliz points to the booming digital collectibles market or non-fungible token (NFT) sector claiming that total Fan Token market cap now stands at over $400 million.
$CHZ – the digital currency for sports & entertainment and the native currency of Socios.com currently holds a market cap of $3.4 billion.
