Pokémon GO has revealed the Festival of Lights event, featuring the debut of the much anticipated Dedenne.
Pokémon GO’s Festival of Lights is a Diwali-inspired event where players are encouraged to rediscover and strengthen bonds with all those around them. The event also brings with it the debut of the electric and fairy-type Pokémon, Dedenne. To help keep the celebrations illuminated, electric-type Pokémon will be found more frequently in the wild.
Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Festival of Lights.
Bonuses
During the Festival of Lights event, players will be able to strengthen the bonds they share with their Pokémon through event bonuses.
Additionally, players will be able to enjoy an in-game fireworks display during the first few days of the event.
India
Players in India will be treated to a few extra bonuses on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.

Numerous Pokémon will be appearing in One-star, Three-star, Five-star, and Mega Raids. Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion will make their way to raids with the exclusive attack Sacred Sword. If you catch one of these three during the event, they’ll come with Sacred Sword.

Visit the shop during the event for a free Festival of Lights T-shirt. You’ll also be purchase some Dedenne-inspired avatar items. During the event, you’ll be able to get Dedenne-inspired stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
The Pokémon GO Festival of Lights will run from Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
