Obtaining Pokemon GO’s Shiny Aggron is a rare and difficult process. However, having this Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon on your team is a battle advantage, as it has high stats and is resistant against many different types of moves.

Unfortunately, Pokemon GO fans are unable to encounter a Shiny Aggron in the wild.

However, you can obtain Shiny Aggron through catching Shiny Aron and evolving it into Aggron. Aron’s Shiny form includes a lighter silver color scheme.

When evolving Aron into Aggron, players need to evolve it twice, as the first evolution consists of 25 Candy. After evolving it for the first time, users will need 100 Candy in order to evolve this Pokemon into Aggron.

Players can encounter Aron during Snow or Partly Cloudy weather while trekking through the wild.

Aron’s most common spawn locations include parking lots, nature reserves, and hiking trails.

Aggron’s Shiny form includes a green and grey color scheme. This Steel- and Rock-type’s go-to moves consist of Iron Tail, Heavy Slam, Smack Down, and Stone Edge.

It is recommended to use Aggron against Dragon-, Ice-, Psychic-, Fairy-, Bug-, Rock-, Flying-, Normal-, and Poison-type Pokemon.

However, players shouldn’t use Aggron against Ground-, Fighting-, or Water-type Pokemon.

Are Splitgate’s servers down? Here’s how to check server status

Published

on

While Splitgate is extremely popular in its current state, the game’s server issues have been one of the more prevalent and, at times, frustrating aspects of the FPS over the past couple of weeks.

In short, because the current servers aren’t built for a large number of players, they often get overloaded, sometimes to the point where developer 1047 Games has to take the game temporarily offline.

That being said, as of July 28, the game is online—sort of. Right now, when players try to log in to Splitgate, they’ll be met with a queue. Players will then have to wait in that queue before they can reach the main menu.

While in the queue, the game will automatically attempt to log in every few minutes or so. Once you see that screen, you should stay there until you get in. Closing the application will cause you to lose your spot in line.

On top of that, while players can technically log in to the shooter and edit their camos, skins, and settings, they can’t enter public matchmaking.

This means that unless you can find a server to join in the “Custom Matches” option (which quickly gets overwhelmed), you can’t play the game right now in the traditional sense.

While 1047 Games has said that this is a temporary way to stress test the current servers, it has yet to change. Given the ever-changing nature of the game, players shouldn’t be surprised if the log-in queue and custom match restrictions stay in place for a bit longer.

For immediate updates, players can keep an eye on Splitgate’s official Twitter account, which continuously posts transparent information about the game’s server issues, bugs, and new features. There’s no official Downdetector or status page for the game yet.

We’ll update this article with more information about the game’s server issues and how to check them for yourself in the future.

PGL still considering Stockholm for upcoming CS:GO Major

Published

on

PGL, the tournament organizer responsible for organizing the first CS:GO Major since StarLadder Berlin in 2019, released an update today, informing the community that it still hopes to host the tournament in Stockholm, Sweden as originally planned. PGL will confirm the location by Sept. 15 at the latest and said it’ll depend on the steps taken by Swedish authorities.

“The PGL CS:GO Major playoffs will take place in Stockholm if the local authorities can make the event accessible to players, staff, and fans,” the tournament organizer said. PGL will monitor two key deadlines, the first of which is Aug. 23, when changes to the temporary entry ban are expected to take place, allowing “players and people supporting the event to enter Sweden.”

The second deadline is on Sept. 15. “We are hoping that the indoor restrictions for events in Sweden should be lifted by that date, and we should be able to have a full house during the playoffs,” PGL said. “The reason a Major is held in a particular city is to give local fans an opportunity to attend the event. If only a small group of fans are able to attend, then the event might as well take place somewhere else.”

If these changes are approved by Swedish authorities, PGL will host the next CS:GO Major in Stockholm. If these conditions aren’t met, the tournament organizer said it will move the Major to another European venue on the same dates. Ticket sales for the Major will start on Sept. 16, no matter where the event takes place. The PGL Major is scheduled to run from Oct. 23 to Nov. 11 and will offer a $2 million prize pool.

“We’re looking forward to holding the PGL CS:GO Major playoffs in Stockholm, but we’re also prepared to change direction in September if that event isn’t accessible to the audience,” the tournament organizer said. In a previous update released last week, PGL said it had a backup plan and was in talks with two other European countries to run the 2021 Major in case it can’t be held in Stockholm.

The uncertainty of hosting the CS:GO Major in Stockholm has been ongoing for weeks, especially after Valve had to move Dota 2‘s The International from Stockholm to Bucharest, Romania earlier this month. But the conditions seem to be better now since some Swedish authorities have been working on lifting restrictions so the country can host the PGL Major.

PGL will likely keep the community posted and release another update close to Aug. 23, which is when Sweden is expected to make changes to the temporary entry ban.

The 5 best Noble Knights cards in Yu-Gi-Oh!

Published

on

Noble Knights cards in Yu-Gi-Oh! have powerful synergy, allowing you to build a strong board, activate various abilities to resurrect creatures, or buff up warriors in combat to win a trade.

Over the years, several support cards were added for this archetype, allowing Noble Knights players to stay competitive regardless of expansion. But it might be difficult for some players to build a decent deck that can stand up to other strong lists. With that in mind, though, there are a few impactful cards that should be included in every Noble Knights deck.

Here are the five best Noble Knights cards in Yu-Gi-Oh!

Artorigus, King of the Noble Knights

Image via Konami

Artorigus is a Warrior that requires two level four Noble Knight monsters to XYZ Summon. Once he’s summoned, you can target up to three Noble Arms Equip Spells in the graveyard to equip to Artorigus, who can become a monstrous Warrior with a high ATK. Once per turn, you can detach one XYZ material to destroy any number of Spell or Trap cards on the field up to the number of Noble Arms Equip Spells you control. Artorigus is one of the monsters you’ll want to play around in a Noble Knights deck.

Last Chapter of the Noble Knights

Image via Konami

Last Chapter of the Noble Knights allows you to bring back a Noble Arms Equip Spell and a Noble Knight monster from your graveyard if your opponent controls a monster while you don’t. On top of that, you can Special Summon that creature with the equipment added to it. This is an easy way to get a monster back on your board and potentially start some combos.

Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights

Image via Konami

Isolde, Two Tales of Noble Knights is a weak creature with only 1,600 ATK. But the card makes up for this small offensive power with its various effects. If you Link Summon Isolde, you can add a Warrior monster from your deck to your hand. You can also send any number of Equip Spells with different names from your deck to the graveyard to Special Summon a Warrior from your deck with a level equal to the number of cards sent to the graveyard. This interaction with your deck can help you quickly reach out for a creature if you’re being dominated on the board by sacrificing a couple of cards.

Glory of the Noble Knights

Image via Konami

Glory of the Noble Knights is a simple Spell card. It allows you to equip a Spell from your deck onto a Noble Knight monster you control. You can quickly fish for powerful equipment from your deck whenever you need it to empower your creatures and take over the board.

Merlin

Image via Konami

Merlin is one of the Noble Knights cards that has the Spellcaster type instead of Warrior. It has three powerful effects that you can choose from to use once per turn. You can tribute Merlin to Special Summon a Noble Knight from your deck, but you can’t Special Summon non-Noble Knights for the rest of the turn. As a quick effect on either player’s turn, you can banish Merlin from your graveyard to Synchro Summon with monsters you control. As a quick effect on either player’s turn, you can banish Merlin from your graveyard to XYZ Summon with monsters you control. This makes Merlin a very flexible card, allowing you to adjust to the current board state and take over the game.

When Clones Attack returns as this week’s Hearthstone Tavern Brawl

Published

on

Star Wars isn’t the only universe with a clone problem. This week, the clones are running wild throughout Hearthstone’s Tavern Brawl.

This week’s Hearthstone Tavern Brawl is When Clones Attack. If you’re a lazy Tavern Brawler, today is your lucky day. All you need to do to play this Brawl is select a class. Once you’ve chosen your desired class, you’ll receive a random deck and you’re ready to dive into the fray.

Image via Blizzard Entertainment

During this Tavern Brawl, every minion you play will generate a 1/1 clone. The lore-centric reason behind this within the Brawl is Zerek, Master Cloner. In Hearthstone’s parent game World of Warcraft, Zerek works for the eccentric Goblin, Dr. Boom. Zerek handles Dr. Boom’s more scientific projects, including but not limited to cloning.

Since every minion played during this Brawl will generate a 1/1 clone, both sides of the board can fill up fast. And because decks are random, you won’t really know which tools you have at your disposal. You’ll want to try to maximize the effectiveness of any board clear or direct damage spells you draw throughout the game.

In the meantime, try to make intelligent decisions when it comes to trading minions against your opponent. Don’t let them amass a board so big that they’re able to trample you because you chose not to trade for too long.

This Brawl will be up until next Wednesday, Aug. 4. You’ll have until then to earn your free Year of the Phoenix card pack.
