pino to step for Isurus in CBCS RMR due to alleged VAC ban

Date:

Isurus have announced that they will play their remaining CBCS Elite Season 1 matches with analyst Rodrigo “pino” Manarino instead of André “drop” Abreu as they conduct an investigation into allegations that the Brazilian player has a VAC ban on an old account.

The 17-year-old FURIA Academy member was brought in as a stand-in for Isurus in the Regional Major Ranking (RMR) tournament, filling the gap created when Nicolas “NikoM” Miozzi was released by the organisation at the start of the month.

pino, Isurus’ analyst, will replace drop for the RMR event

This is the fourth instance of an alleged VAC ban cropping up in the South American RMR event, with Keyd, Bears, and DETONA having all withdrawn from the competition in the past week following claims involving Kayke “kye” Bertolucci, Mateus “cidZzZ” Piber Fão, and Kaue “kauez” Kaschuk.

“Although Valve will always have the final resolution, as an organisation we repudiate any type of conduct that goes against sports ethics and our values,” Isurus said in a statement. “Winning or losing, we have always sought to be an example of competitive integrity and of commitment to sportsmanship. Unfortunately, faced with these events, we find ourselves in the middle of a complex situation that exceeds us.”

Isurus currently hold a 1-2 record in the CBCS RMR group stage following losses to Santos and Havan Liberty, with their only win being a default victory over Bears following the team’s withdrawal from the event. With pino, the Argentine side will have to fend off Jaguares in an elimination match, set to begin at 22:20 .

For the remainder of CBCS Elite Season 1, Isurus‘ roster will be:

Argentina Nicolás “Noktse” Dávila
Argentina Roberto “reversive” Themtham
Argentina Marcos “deco” Amato
Argentina Tomas “tom1” Rivero
Argentina Rodrigo “pino” Manarino (stand-in)

Argentina Joaquin “lokomotioN” Abasolo (head coach)
