Kimco Controls is investing in the South Okanagan. The HVAC company is expanding the Kimco regional office in Penticton. The move to expand comes as the HVAC control system company aims to better serve the region with services, repairs or energy efficiency upgrades for HVAC, automation and electrical services.

Founded in Kelowna with regional offices in Penticton and Cranbrook, the HVAC, Automation, and Electrical system’s company has made Interior B.C. their family tree, and is excited to continue growing in Penticton. This growth spurt means more jobs for the community.

With three owners who started as employees themselves, this family-first company understands their employees’ needs — from diversifying an HVAC mechanic’s skill set to balancing family priorities.

“We’re really excited to expand our Penticton office and better serve the South Okanagan, while bringing more jobs to the community. The team is the people,” says Owner and Head Manager, Electrical and Integration Management, Ken Watt, who started working at the company as an employee 18 years ago. Ken first wanted to work at Kimco for the diversity of services and trades offered like HVAC and automation systems.

That diversity is still drawing new hires today. “Kimco gave me the opportunity not only to have a job, but to build on my career goals,” says Pawel Gora, a new employee with Kimco.
