Games are rapidly developing their Halloween cosmetic items and preparing to announce them, especially with Halloween just a few weeks away. Fans are also designing their own concepts, getting involved in the fun and spirit of the season.
Overwatch, in particular, is known for its annual Halloween Terror event. New Halloween-themed skins, as well as a plethora of other customization options, are introduced for various characters every year. Overwatch fans continue to weigh in with speculation while the clock ticks ahead of an announcement from Blizzard.
Reddit user u/haydnc95 even designed their very own concept skin for Echo. Titled “Bat Echo”, the skin comes in two colors, red and purple, and boasts bat-like wings in place of Echo’s mechanical ones.
The design also has claws in place of feet and fur throughout, cementing the bat inspiration. The concept is well-designed and intricate and looks quite in-line for something Blizzard would introduce in their Halloween Terror event.
Fan reception to this design has been overwhelmingly positive. Many quickly praised u/haydnc95 for their creativity and artistic talent. Plenty also demanded that Blizzard develop this idea and add it into the game, even suggesting names for the skin and corresponding voicelines!
While it is unknown as of yet which heroes will receive skins this year, let alone what those skin designs will be, Echo may see herself receive a new Halloween design soon.
