Overwatch Experimental Changes are in full swing now and Overwatch developers have been tinkering with some heroes. Of the seven heroes adjusted, Baptiste received the most significant changes as devs are hoping the fine-tuning will balance him out.

Symmetra, Widowmaker, Brigitte and McCree are all getting small base health changes. All of the health changes are within a 25 health increase or decrease in order to “simplify the understanding of how many hits an enemy hero could withstand.” McCree’s Peacekeeper reload time will also be reduced from 1.5 to 1.2 seconds.
Baptiste’s Biotic Launcher’s Primary and Secondary Fire have changed as well. The primary fire’s recovery time will be reduced from 0.45 to 0.38 and the damage will be reduced from 25 to 24. The secondary fire recovery time will be increased from 0.8 to 0.9 and the healing will increase from 50 to 60. Baptiste’s Amplification Matrix will also be buffed as the width will increase from five to nine meters. While these are incremental changes that may seem like they don’t mean much, they will make a difference when it comes to close fights. Specifically, the Amplification Matrix changes will allow allies to use the Matrix at a greater distance.
Mei will also be receiving a bigger change compared to the other heroes as her Cryo-Freeze now restores 15 ammo per second and her Ice Wall cooldown will be lowered from 13 to 12 seconds. Developers cited that these changes are “to help smooth out this gameplay.”
While none of these changes may make it to official game play, this experimental space has proven to be important for changes in past patches. So make sure to keep an eye out for Overwatch Experimental changes in the future, they could be important.
