OG Partners with Grab Ahead of The International 2022

From the 15th to the 30th of October, twenty of the world’s greatest Dota 2 teams will take to the main stage in Singapore at The International 2022. It’s one of the biggest esports tournaments in the business, boasting (at present) a $12m prize pool. There are some extremely valuable sponsorship opportunities circulating at this event, and another key partnership has just been revealed. As The International 2022 approaches, OG has revealed that it has teamed up with Grab in Southeast Asia.

This partnership will bring exclusive promotions and advantageous benefits to OG fans in and around Singapore, where TI 2022 is being held. Reportedly, grab is Southeast Asia’s ‘leading superapp’, operating with a similar model to Uber, providing users with drivers, food delivery, courier, and shopping services. As we move ever closer to the kick-off of The International 2022, OG fans can leverage the Grab platform to earn some seriously exciting prizes.

At the heart of this partnership is the ability for fans to unlock several benefits and potentially win key rewards. At the top of the table where prizes are concerned are tickets to The International 2022’s Grand Final event, which will take place on the 30th of October, 2022. While these promotions are live, fans will also have the ability to win official OG merch, including jerseys signed by the players competing at the event.

In 2019, OG won The International, beating Team Liquid in the Grand Final to secure a $15.6m prize. Recently, OG won ESL One Stockholm 2022 and ESL One Malaysia 2022, putting the team in a very strong place ahead of The International. As we move into what is essentially the most valuable esports tournament in the world, this key partnership brings value to the OG community, which enters the competition with extremely high expectations.

In a statement, Romane Sorine, the Head of Partnerships at OG Esports, said:

‘2022 has been a year of new beginnings for OG, and we are excited to create new opportunities for our fans to feel closer to the action and take part in the journey we’ve set out on with Grab. Being the first esports team to collaborate with Grab Singapore in the lead-up to TI is a great privilege for OG, and we hope this will also help our fans and players enjoy the convenience of the platform.’

For fans located in Singapore, there will be Grab x OG promo codes made available on GrabFood orders made between the 26th of September and the 31st of October. Finally, for the OG team itself, GrabFood and GrabMart orders will be sponsored by Grab throughout their entire stay in Singapore.
